A Rainy Day in Hong Kong

Personal Projects

About The Project

A moody urban vignette where neon and monsoon meet: rain-slick streets reflect vertical signage and tram headlights while dense, humid air blurs the distant skyline. My composite render pulls from photoreal Hong Kong street photography and cyberpunk cityscapes, with layered foreground detail (shopfronts, air-cons, laundry lines) giving a lived-in authenticity. Lighting uses physically based emissive materials and wet-surface reflections to sell the atmosphere; volumetric rain and subtle bloom create that half-remembered late-night feeling you find in films like Blade Runner and photography by Fan Ho.
